Where Wilderness, Culture & Conservation Meet
Mobile Expedition
Permit-limited
By Consultation
consultation required before booking · varies by season, group size & routing
Bhutan is one of the last places on earth where pristine, lightly-fished rivers remain. The Golden Mahseer and Brown Trout that inhabit these waters are rarely disturbed. Access is strictly regulated, permits are limited, and Bhutan’s conservation laws are enforced without exception.
This is a mobile expedition — not a fixed itinerary. Each journey is routed according to water conditions, migration patterns, conservation restrictions, and the experience level of the anglers. Accommodation follows the fish: 4★–5★ lodges where available, remote eco-lodges, and fully-serviced riverside camps where required.
Guided by conservation-trained local experts and supported by Geert Poorteman — fly fishing specialist and Bhutan veteran — this expedition is all-inclusive once you land. Nothing is left to chance.
Golden Mahseer

This journey is limited by season, river conditions, and permit availability. Bhutan’s fishing regulations are strictly enforced — catch-and-release only. No exceptions. This is not a casual add-on to a Bhutan holiday.
